About Cécile
Originally from France, I was introduced to yoga at the age of 5 by my grandparents.
This early exposure ignited a lifelong passion for yoga, which has become a cornerstone of my well-being. After relocating to Phoenix, Arizona, where I’ve lived for nearly two decades, my practice has evolved significantly.
For over three years, I have studied under Karen Kelley at Mysore Phoenix, dedicating myself to a five-day-a-week practice.
My teaching journey is equally rich. I have extensive experience instructing children, having taught yoga in the French immersion program at the International School of Arizona for various age groups, from 18 months to 11 years old.
More recently, I’ve been teaching middle school students, where I integrate the curriculum inspired by Mildred Masheder’s “Let’s Play Together.” My classes cover a wide range of postures, Sanskrit terms, sequence leadership, and Acrobatic and Partner Yoga.
I firmly believe that yoga is not only a powerful tool for physical wellness but also an excellent means for fostering self-esteem and confidence in pre-teens and teens. Witnessing children gain strength, flexibility, and self-assurance through yoga is the greatest reward of my teaching practice.
